KIDZ KONNECTED CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Family Guidelines and Expectations

Guiding children is hard work. Here in Kidz Konnected, we understand that parents need support when it comes to forming minds that love and live for Christ

Below you will find a condensed version of our ministry guidelines. These guidelines will be heavily enforced for the betterment of our ministry and the consistency that young minds deserve

SUNDAY EXPECTATIONS

Children who are attending children's church for the day should sit with children's ministry staff/volunteers by the beginning of service

  • Children who are NOT with Kidz Konnected BEFORE the end of praise and worship will need an ADULT (18yrs+) to walk them to their respective classes and see a teacher volunteer before leaving
Children MUST be at least 2 years in age to attend children's church
  • Depending on student/volunteer ratio children under the age of 2 will be permitted for the day. Unless parent volunteer is available for the day
  • Babies under 1 year are welcomed on any Sunday. However, they should be accompanied by an adult (18yrs+) for their entire stay

All children who attend Kidz Konnected are expected to be toilet trained. In the event that your child(ren) is not toilet trained, please be sure that they have on a clean diaper. We will NOT be responsible for changing soiled diapers or clothing. You will be notified if your child(ren) need assistance

PARENT EXPECTATIONS

Parents are encouraged to volunteer twice a year. Once in the spring/summer season and again in the fall/winter season

  • This allows our staff/volunteers time to participate in Sunday morning services beyond praise and worship
  • Parents are NOT expected to stretch past their comfort level. Many activities that you will host on your volunteer day will be "child guided" activities that you simply have to monitor. This will also give you the opportunity to bond with the children who will one day lead the very services you attend. Help us support our future

Parents are expected to keep children with a communicable disease with them for the day

  • Any child who appears to be sick (according to the volunteer on duty) will be removed and sent with the parent/guardian for the day (this includes stomach aches, fevers over 100 degrees)
  • If your child has a known or diagnosed special need (medical, behavioral, food allergy etc.) please notify staff on duty as soon as possible so that accommodations (to the best of our ability) can be made

Parents, please have your child leave any and all electronic devices in your possession before your child comes to sit with the children's ministry. This includes any cell phones, games, tablets, toys etc.

  • Any items that are brought to children's church will be collected when noticed and returned to you (the parent/guardian) after service.

*PLEASE NOTE: KIDZ KONNECTED CHILDREN'S MINISTRY WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY LOST, STOLEN, OR DAMAGED ITEMS THAT ARE BROUGHT WITH CHILDREN *
